All customers save money on transit using the ORCA card, with its built-in transfer credit and daily and monthly passes. And with reduced fare programs for youth, seniors, customers with disabilities and lower incomes, there’s an ORCA card for everyone!
Which ORCA card is right for you?
No matter your budget, ORCA has a fare program designed for you:
ORCA Youth – for riders aged 6-18
Why pay a full adult fare? ORCA Youth cards offer significant savings over standard fares, and are easy to obtain on myORCA.com or via the myORCA mobile app, by mail, or by calling or visiting customer service. The first card is free; replacements are $3.
And don’t forget, kids five and under ride free. Family outings just got better!
ORCA LIFT – for low-income households
Get the most out of transit with reduced fares and ORCA LIFT! This pass offers a convenient, more affordable way to get anywhere participating transit agencies can take you in the Puget Sound area.
With ORCA LIFT, you can save up to 50% or more on transit trips. Adults enrolled in Apple Health, Medicaid, SNAP benefits or have household incomes at or below 200% of the federal poverty level are eligible.
Apply quickly and easily online at the Reduced Fare Portal. You may also apply over the phone, by mail, or in person at an enrollment office. The first card is free; replacements are $3.
Regional Reduced Fare Program (RRFP) – for seniors 65+
Never stop exploring…and save money while you’re at it!
Customers 65 years and older are eligible for an ORCA Senior RRFP card. Apply quickly and easily at myORCA.com or on the myORCA mobile app. You can also apply by mail, or by calling or visiting a customer service office. The first card is free; replacements are $3.
Regional Reduced Fare Program (RRFP) – for riders with disabilities
With RRFP, riders with disabilities and Medicare cardholders are eligible for a disabled Regional Reduced Fare Permit ORCA card.
There’s no need to leave home to apply! You can submit your application and supporting documents online through the Reduced Fare Portal, or by mail. Alternatively, you can apply in person at a customer service office. The first card is free; replacements are $3.
ORCA Subsidized Annual Pass – for residents enrolled in certain state benefit programs
Residents of King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties who are enrolled in one of six state benefit programs can obtain a free Subsidized Annual Pass valid for travel on King County Metro and Sound Transit Services.
Eligible customers can apply online through the Reduced Fare Portal, by phone, or in person at DSHS, Public Health, and Catholic Community Services locations across King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties.
