Adding fares to your ORCA card
No matter the application method, there is no card fee for the first ORCA Youth card, and replacement cards are just $3.00 each.
Your ORCA Youth card gives you a reduced fare on certain transit systems in the Puget Sound region. ORCA Youth cards will also work on other ORCA transit agencies that don’t offer a reduced fare, but you ll need to pay the full fare.

By mail
Print and complete the application form and mail it to the ORCA Regional Mail Center along with a copy of the youth’s proof of age. For convenience, add additional money or a pass to this ORCA Youth card using the same application form. The physical ORCA card should arrive within 7-10 days. Call 206-553-3000 for assistance.

In person
Bring the youth or the youth’s proof of age documentation to the Metro Pass Sales Office. It is not necessary for youth to be present.
Proof of age
To prove age for youth 6 to 18 years of age, use one of the following:
- Student ID
- State ID or driver’s license
- Birth certificate
