Changes and Improvements: ORCA at Retail Stores

We’re adding more ORCA retail locations to communities across the Puget Sound and including more locally owned businesses. To make this happen, you’ll notice some changes at retail stores.

Depending on where you shop, you can keep using your existing ORCA card, or you may need get a new one.

 

What you need to do depends on where you shop

Learn more below about what you can do at your store.

Reload New and Classic Cards: Fred Meyer, QFC, Boost Mobile (Auburn), Vashon Thriftway, Sunset Chevron (Renton), Ay Jalisco, Mini Mart (Everett), Asian Family Market

These stores:

  • Reload money on all ORCA cards, including blue/RRFP and redesigned black/RRFP cards
  • Reload all card types, including adult, senior, disabled, and ORCA LIFT
  • Sell Adult ORCA cards for $3. Stores do not sell pass products.

These stores do not:

  • Sell new or replacement senior, youth, disabled, or ORCA LIFT cards.

Reload New Cards: Safeway, Albertsons, Haggen, WinCo

These stores:

  • Reload money on only new, redesigned black and RRFP cards
  • Reload all card types, including adult, senior, disabled, and ORCA LIFT cards at check-out lanes. WinCo reloads and sells cards at the guest/customer service area.
  • Sell Adult ORCA cards for $3. Stores do not sell pass products.
  • WinCo only sells or reloads cards to customers with a Western Union account. An account can be created at the store.

These stores do not:

  • Sell new or replacement senior, youth, disabled, or ORCA LIFT cards.
