Adding fares to your ORCA card

Adding fares to your ORCA card

There is no card fee to get a Youth ORCA card and most transit agencies do not charge youth to ride their service. See a list of current youth fares below.

Riders aged 13 and older are encouraged to bring one of the following when they ride, if they have it:

Youth ORCA Card

  • “Tap” your card when you board. On Sound Transit Link light rail and Sounder, please also “tap” when you exit.
  • Register your card to ensure it works until your 19th birthday.

Current High School or Middle School Student ID

  • Show your student ID to the driver as you board.

Youth who do not have one of these can still ride for free.
